Scope and Contents This financial register was created by the Inferior Court to track court expenses and income. Transactions include payments for juries, court officers, staff, and other expenses.In 1818, the Clerk of the Inferior Court, John Bailey, begins the register. His role changes from Clerk, to Acting Treasurer, to Treasurer. George Lang becomes Treasurer in 1839 and maintains that role until 1861, possibly 1864.
