Scope and Contents
Correspondence between Floyd family members, beginning in the early 1900s with later correspondence occurring in the 1960s. Also included a two photos, May Floyd (Mrs. Albert Graves) and her daughter, Jule Graves, and a few newspaper clippings.
The earliest letter in this collection date to 1867, and the latest letter dates to 1967. However the bulk of this collection stems from two primary sets of correspondence between Floyd family members.
The first group of letters begin in 1900 and consist of letters written between May Rose Graves and her daughter, Jule Oleander Graves. There are a couple of letters written to Jule from her father, and also from her aunts in response to her mother's death in May 1901.
The later set of letters were written in the 1966-1967 between Alice Tonge, and sisters Ida and Ruth Foster.
The two photos in this collection are of May Floyd (Mrs. Albert Graves) and her daughter, Jule Graves. The last elements in this collection consist of a few newspaper clippings.
